**Encounters in the street**

This week wasn’t very good for me
Was rather moody & quiet.
Got pissed off with pple easily
sighz.
A horrible week.

Was sick today
Had a bad stomach ache
Ended up looking pale
With purple lips
And getting shivering spells frequently
Wore a jacket cos I was in pain.
But I was perspiring
Cold sweat.

my class finished YMCA today
didn’t feel like doing but did it anw.
yayee!
It’s finally completed!

did CIP again after sch
NKF children’s medical fund
were supposed to sell some bendy pens.
thought it was like the old one
which was the bugs & snails collection
but they changed it to little kids
not much a change though.
had to wait an extremely long time to register
got pissed off again by someone’
then zoe & I finally got our turn
we were assigned forum
we managed to get jiayu & sherms there too.
alina,meg & aud went to the thai embassy

we didn’t know how to get there
but coincidentally,
jiayu’s mum was in the vicinity
so she fetched us there!
how nice of her!

anw began our work!
initially
we didn’t manage to sell the pens
cos they were already approached
by the cat high grp in front
so I decided to go in front of them
at the junction
it worked
most pple’s respond was waving the pens at us
cos they bought it
but managed to sell quite a lot there

then we walked back & fro
some pple came & donated as well.
the grp of barker guys in front
were just standing in the middle of the walkway
they didn’t ask or anything
so zoe & I did!

then we went to the building next to forum.
that was a great place too
sold nearly all there
left with 4

but dear zoe accepted hongkong currency
and it was mine in the end!
we had to walk to far east shopping center
to change it to sing dollars!
the guard kept refusing to let us in.
he kept repeating:
“cannot sell inside ah!”
then we explained to him abt the hongkong $
before he let us in.
when we changed it,
the one guy frm another sch
accused us of selling inside!
but his partner explained to him
Never accused someone without evidence!

anw
sold a few more
left with two

then we met with these 3 aunties
they each bought one frm us.
so zoe & I was left with one
jiayu & sherms met up with us
the aunties called us back
guessed what?
they wanted to buy more for their friends!
and they bought 11!

4 of us went back empty handed!
some others had only sold less than 10!
it was my first flag day,
and I’m sure it will be one of my best ones!
gotta do CIP tmr too..
at jurong library again
community spirit does exists!
