Francis & Rachel thought we were literally selling flags! hahahs. they said it shld be called sticker-selling then!

anyway the day started pretty well with a caucasian lady donating $2.50 to me. jiayu & i were waiting for michelle u see. so i seized every opportunity! then we went around orchard until we found a perfect and strategic place to sell flags. we were outside some blue building near wheelock and far east shopping centre.
Well, we were outside a bank! hahas.

we met many different types of pple! the REALLY nice ones who donate twice, the ones who give but complain, the ones who ask lots of question only to give a bit, and the SUPER uncharitable, stingy and rude pple.

First the Super nice pple! it's like 2 ladies told me to "you must stay here." and "Wait here." cos they had no change with them and they went to withdraw. so nice! then some pple gave me $10, $5 and $2! haha. so my bag was kinda light but valuable! hahas. and this lady was like "give to the other jie jie, her bag very light."- points to jiayu! hahahas. Another guy donated twice too!

Second type: there was this guy that i met. he donated to me. but his wife was like "u dun wanna give then dun give lah! still complain." hmph. nvm.

thirdly, a guy asked me super a lot of questions before he donated.
'what's this for?'
'st luke's hospital for the elderly.'
'for wat?'
'the sick elderly.'
'i know. if i give $10, what will it be used for?'
'to maintain the hospital and facilities.'
'to pay the nurses?'
'no! for the exercise equipment. physiotherapy.'
'oh. okay.'
then he FINALLY donates $2. hmph.

Anyway michelle met this nasty guy too. Cos she went up to him, asking for donations. she didn't see the sticker on him cos it camouflaged with his blue shirt. and he scolded her! he was like "can't u see i;ve already donated?" "where shld i put the sticker huh? here? here?" then he starts moving the sticker everywhere. so horrible!

The last category where unfortunately where most singaporeans fall into. the ones that ignore u totally or pretends and say "donated already." hmph. some of the arrogant caucasians do that too! so im not being racis or bias here. yup

So we ended up looking out for nice-looking pple who had a chance of donating to us. And i think we're quite pro in looking out for charitable pple! (not that there's a specific look lah!)

Anyway, it was quite fruitful and we managed to rest too. *winks*

it's getting late. gtg now. got church tmr. nites everyone.
