Warning: the following entry is not for animal lovers. Any resemblance to your pet is strictly coincidental.

We were instructed to bring some nice living creatures such as COCKROACHES, BEES, GRASSHOPPERS or MOTHS. We were even encouraged to bring BEES.

This is how we're taught to catch it:

1) put a can of sprite on the table.
2) it's supposedly to draw the bee.
3) and wait till the bee arrives.
*if it actually arrives
4) when the bee lands on the tip,
trap it!

hmm. that's if u don't get stung.

Anyway some people caught some insects!
Like cockroaches, moths, etc.

In the process of catching it,
rachel killed so many insects!
one got smashed by her hands,
the other got wet and drowned,
another got split when closing the lid,
and the spider got dissected into half when she tried to poke holes into the box. so smart right? hahaha.

I seriously got no idea how huang zi caught the cockroach. and i don't wish to know. :)

During Class,
There was this beetle near my desk.
So we tried to catch it!
But it was already dead.
i think suying crushed it.
Then Natascha comes looking...

"did u see my beetle? it escaped."

hahaha. to her dismay, she sees the crushed beetle at her feet!

this is the result of bringing insects to school. thank goodness the cockroach didn't escape! the whole class would have screamed!

The Practical:
Don't worry we did not dissect the insects. We merely had to put it in this net, into a test tube and wait for the hydrogen carbonate indicator to change colour.

The last time, someone else put a frog! it was so heavy that it fell into the hydrogen carbonate indicator! And it's toxic!! so it died. hahah. gruesome.

But the horror was that we had to catch the cricket/insect and put it into the net. So everyone "happily" gathered to catch the crickets.

Before we could catch it from the box, it keeps jumping out! Hence there were so much screaming then! hahaha. it was so amusing! my grp finished earlier thankfully and thus we started watching everyone else. Whenever an cricket escapes, everyone would start screaming and run away. This is what happen in a girls' school.

The bench behind me? haha. we were trying to push the net into the test tube, then i was saying how come there was a hole there. Suddenly, the cricket jumped out! SCREAM!!

So we had to catch it again. Then the leg fell out! When it was back in the net, we realised, there was brown blood leaking from the net. it was so disgusting and sadistic. eeeww.

After the practical, we started chatting with each other. And spastic wanping was refilling 2 de-ionized water-bottles. then she was going to squirt it at rachael when..

rachael: oh no. copper sulphate is all over wanping's book. but it's invisible. ssshhh. dun tell her.
wanping: (eavesdropped on our conversation) HA!

she squirted the water on rachael, but she did not close the cap properly! hahaha! so the water was like spilling on her! hahahah.

Water Fight continues. *censored* Trust me, no one comes out of the lab with a dry uniform. hahaha!
