11Nov: left for brisbane in the night. watched a couple of movies in the plane. (The crash and charlie and the chocolate factory) didn't catch much sleep but well started to miss lots of pple.

12Nov: reached ard 6 in the morning there. brisbane's time is 2 hours different from singapore. the flight was ard 7 hours. Anyway we rented this van for the whole holiday cos we went with my sister's friend's family as well. that means 6 adults, 3 kids and lots of luggage. Stayed at kangaroo pt for 1 night. Did i tell you the macs there is really different from singapore? i don't really like it though. went to some malls but was too tired cos of jet lag. And the sun rises at 4am (2am in singapore) and sets at 6pm (4am in singapore) So the malls close really early there. kinda sad cos after 6, the whole place's like a ghost town.

13Nov: lloyd's birthday! i felt bad not wishing him on that day. nvm. off we went to the country side, it was a really long journey but a breath-taking one. The scenary is absolutely gorgeous and you can see cows, horses & sheep everywhere. The place is really nice and of course the pple too. Had a nice picnic next to the river. The river is so clear and cool. it's a beautiful place. We had quiche, carrot cake and billy tea for lunch. But there were lots of ants, mosquitoes, horseflies and leeches even. i got bitten by this weird ant that caused my left foot to be swollen and itchy. Anyway we went horse-riding after that. It was FANTASTIC. my horse was called mozy i think. We saw kangaroos on the way and the place is wonderful. spent some time reflecting and relaxing outside by my self. dinner was delicious and homecooked. After that, Nigel and Peter sang some songs for us. Nigel has a really good voice and he's really musically inclied:)
The scary thing abt the place is that it's 100+ years old and never been changed before. This means that many many generations have probably died there. haha. that's what my sis's friend said. And they preserved the dead's clothes in the cupboard next to my bed. so freaky!! nevermind abt that. the place's still nice.

14Nov: woke up early and off we went to collect some eggs and feed animals. We were feeding the chickens, ducks and geese and for some reason the rams keep coming to me! so scary! Anyway we milked the cow too. a memorable experience indeed. haha. breakfast was good too. We had fresh milk, juice, bacon, etc. fabulous. go there lloyd! haha. left for gold coast in the afternoon. reached there and we went to some shopping places. we went to breakfree wings resort. it's really nice.

15Nov: we went to Movieworld! yayy. we had buffet lunch there and the kids pay how old they are. so for e.g my nephew's 5 years old so he pays $5. cool huh? haha. anyway, we went for the rides and rollercoasters. the lethal weapon was so scary but it was so FUN! we went upside down 5 times and it's like you're hanging from no where. haha. it's a must go:) then we went on the shrek 4D adventure. haha. the effects are interesting.

16Nov: stacie's birthday! i bought you a present! anyway we went to Seaworld! People go there to see animals and we ended up taking all the rides there. the shows were really nice too. Anyway i went on the bermuda triangle which was really scary and wet. i got so wet lah. haha. then i made my sister take the other one with us which i got even wetter cos i was sitting right in front. Anyway cockscrew rollercoaster was so fast and cool too. Then the viking ship which was a bit too high for my liking. nevertheless i enjoyed it loads.

17Nov:sue's and clara's brithday. went to paradise farm. they did some sheep sheering and tricks with the boomarang and the whip. didn't really enjoyed it there since i already went to a bigger farm. after that was Shopping! not much though. went to harbour town to "shop" we just walked round and round and i got 2 tops, a skirt and my new wallet:) then we had tea and the cookie's gigantic! as big as my nephew's face:p yups. not much but was really exhasted.

18Nov: we went to tropical fruit farm which was pretty interesting. we could pluck some fruits and i was introduced to a couple of new fruits. Starapple! it's really nice and sweet. Chocolate Fruit. oh my. it's like so good. just mix it with ice-cream and you get chocolate ice-cream! cool right? and it's healthier than cocoa! mmm. Got to taste some fruits. We took this small train ride that's pretty unique and a boat ride, passing by turtles, geese and ducks. great experience there.

19Nov: We went to Eumundi Market in the morning since it only opens on wed and sats. it's a total eye-opener. it's so different from pasa malam or our wet markets. they're really creative and they have camel rides, face-painting, massage, etc. lots of action there. there are even kids there who are so independent. they go there, play the violin, viola, cello and write a note there saying they;re saving up for something like an archery bow. it's really admirable huh? they're so young and yet so independent unlike some kids in singapore.

20Nov: Last day in Brisbane. Last Day of my holiday. I was excited yet sad to go back home. Anyway, we went to the bee farm to buy honey. haha. yes just to buy fresh, pure and raw honey. then we had dinner at red rooster and left for the airport. watched 2 shows during my flight. Everything i want's really sweet and school of seduction's a bit nvm. then after that i slept for 2 hours.

21Nov: all good things do come to an end right? well the holiday's over in a blink of an eye. i reached singapore at 2am and i went for training at 1pm. haha. im so hardworking huh? lol. nah. i just miss lydk.

Anyway just a few more observations:

Movies: i only realise that i watch an M18 (the crash) and a R21 (school for seduction) movie when i came back to singapore. well, so much for age limits on the plane. oops.

Food: i ate turkish food(kebabs), chinese food(the restaurant), malaysian food(another restaurant), jap food(eatery), vietnamese food (oh-mei-lee), thai food(i can't rmr the name)and a lot of western food(pizza, pasta,subway, fastfood, buffet, muffins,sandwiches) haha. not bad huh? had a wide variety:)

People: the people there are really friendly and nice. they always smile and say "Good Day mate" They are so nice that i kinda miss the service there. it's like so rare in singapore. People there never looks down and they are all pretty fashion savy. Never the less there are exceptions.

1) the woman who sweared at me when i brushed pass her at the shoe-shop.

2) huge vandalism swearing at mulisms.

3) drunkards that sweared at us for absolutely no reason. he's mad and racist.

4) someone that either threw down something or purposely vomited at the side mirror of the van.

well, i guess every country has it's own pros and cons. But i still prefer home sweet home, Singapore. I got a bit country-sick (what stef calls it) cos i missed my friends so much. now im back, and im missing brisbane. so ironic huh?
