RMUN 2006 was great:)
The 3 days of conference which i dread wasn't too bad after all.

It kickstarted with a session in the awfully cold lecture theatre in rj. With 2 failed resolutions by Afghan/Brazil as well as USSR's.

Well, that very night we compiled 3 resolutions (US/China, Afghan/Brazil, USSR) and compromised to form one whole resolution together. But UK and its allies came up with one too and well there was a debate again.

Crisis was okay. Though China was forgotten initially cos that we weren;t in that council, we ended up sitting in between USA and USSR. We really wanted to return to our council so we were trying to get it over and done with.. And USSR came up with a warped logic of a USSR/China coalition force to be sent in to Falkland. And unfortunately, we accidentally allied with both USA and USSR which got us into quite a lot of trouble with one particular delegate.

But all was well cos we stayed up till midnight compiling a resolution everyone was happy with and was passed.

So we got back to our council! And we FINALLY managed to pass our resolution! And we got really bored when they debated the other council's topic. So we came up with a plan to eradicate Somalia. haha. We decided to disarm our nuclear weapons all on somalian soil with their approval. it was really hilarious.

Fashion Parade went well although i couldn't get my pitch right intially cos it was either too high or too low. haha but thankfully it was just right for the actual one. And with our rendition of "I will survive" to Mao will survive, we won! hahaha. and our wonderful adaptation of GR's cheer to the nuclear dance. haha. i just had to give my class's choreography recognition:) Kristi was a GREAT MAO! And We were all nice peasants:D

Footloose or in other words, Dinner&Dance was a headache and a dread intially. The Music was terribly LOUD so much that we practically went deaf. But we decided to join in with everyone else after much persuasion from beatrice:) And i think it turned up pretty well with all the interesting games AND conversations with unexpected people.

Anyway, thank God that Rmun06 went well.
Thank God for specific delegates who did the joint resolutions:)
Thank God for the RJ hissoc.
Thank God for certain members of our beloved junior team, peru.
And of course my WONDERFUL team mates!
