it's amazing how God can teach so much in a matter of a short one night retreat. I realised so much and learnt a lot from the youths in just a matter of a day or so.

20th: Well, i was really glad to see the younger ones as well as clara there at the retreat. And it was a great time for bonding and fellowship! Sharing sessions were great as we learnt more about each other as well.

Somehow my grp was in charge of whatever sarah & i did last year. haha. So we were stuck in the kitchen most of the time. So sarah hopped to my grp:) We made our famous potato salad with love! lol. just that this time, daniel added in apples/bacon bits and too much pepper while i added in too much salt:p oops. But we made twice the amount we made last year and all were finished surprisingly.

We ended up making the drinks as well cos eugene lim disappeared. yups. all the science theories came in useful in the end! haha. Because we were trying to cool the boiled water down, we thought of all sorts of ways to speed things up.Dear sarah started with her stirring technique, then her transferring heat to the wet cloth method. And liyun and her were doing both simultaneously while i was busy trying to keep the kitchen CLEAN. After that, i came up with the idea of soaking the pot into cold water so that heat will transfer! haha. aren't we brilliant? the scientific theories do come in handy huh?

Played some games to get rid of the excess chicken wings and corns. And i taught some of them CANCER a.k.a Mrt game! haha. then we played the game whereby you have to keep naming names according to the topic when it's your turn. Well, we had great fun doing that huh! we named the entire mrt line except for paya lebar and yio chu kang i think. Isaac was so amusing! When we moved on to common hawker fare, it definitely got more interesting.

Nic: Cha Siew Bao!
Sarah: haha. so the rest can say tao sa bao, siew mai, fan choy!
Brandon: Siew Mai!
isaac: (confidently shouts out) Ha Kao!

*everyone stares at him and starts laughing hysterically*

and he kept making up weird names for some other food, kept winking at me to help him cos his turn was before mine. he was so funny!

Then when we were naming english girls' names;

isaac: CINDERELLA! SNOW WHITE!

haha. trust me if you were there you will be rolling with laughter. Anyway it was great fellowshipping with the younger ones like our classic ISAAC, brandon, nic, ruth, jevon as well as the older ones weiliang and SARAH!

Then after that sarah and i goes mugging. We joined jan & eddie who were already mugging in that room. I can't believe myself either but i did get some lit done:)

21st: The stupid ringtone rang continuously a million times. Trust me it was so irrritating that you are forced out of the bed.

Sarah and i ended up making milo for breakfast again. haha. like last year!

Anyway the session was good as we discussed abt our dream ministry/fellowship/service. And we did some skits and it was pretty fruitful as we discussed a lot of practical stuff.
