it's so easy to say hello,
but just so hard to say goodbye.

We had our sec 4 debate farewell party today. Just the very small, but closely knitted debate society. Many people join, many people leave because of debate politics and because the school team only consists of 5 members. But ultimately the ones who remain have gone through thick and thin together, we laughed, we cried. it was through these moments where we really learnt some much from each other and grew from the wins and losses.

Scgs debate society, SCDS. In a flash, i've been in this team for 3 years perhaps since i joined in sec 2. These friendships and bonds i hold mean so much. i love my seniors, my juniors and my team mates (lydjk!) whom i love so much.

today was a day to say goodbye to SCDS, our farewell party. It was so sweet, so well-organized, i just love my juniors(: The theme was PIRATES! so we all dressed up, and since we're surrounded by the "sea", we got wet.

The many attempts by rachel to make us play her piraty games, Hello Jack (sparrow), Polar Bear, MRT game, treasure hunt, and all the food and really nice green tea milkshake, and of course the people made this whole party so memorable.

I really appreciate all your efforts put in because i know you all really put in a lot of hardwork just to make us feel special(: THANK YOU SO MUCH aletheia, danitza, rachel, bala, lynette, natalie, sarah, joelle (who came really late), and sasha who missed out all the fun because she's only coming back from overseas tmr. Thank you for being so sweet and brighten up our days of mugging with this FABULOUS FAREWELL.

Aletheia/Danitza/Sasha/Suzy: i know you all spearheaded this entire farewell and i really appreciate your efforts. I hope you all will continue to uphold SC's name and reputation in the debate circuit and LOVE each other k? haha. i will really miss all the craziness and i have faith you all will go far. Be good seniors(to sec1s) and juniors(to us)I'll come back to visit you all after o's. thanks and love you all.

Rachel: i didn't forget you dear because i know you did a lot too(: I always rmr you because i have worked with you before in the same team, the first sec 1 to debate in a comp. Although you're leaving SC, always treasure the memories you had in SCDS, your beloved team, your darling juniors and seniors. All the best in vjip(: Come back and visit us k? thanks and love you all.

My dear sec 1s: thanks for coming(: i know we didn't really get to know each other that well because the sec 4s are forever so busy and didn't have time to stay in debate and talk to you all. But i know each one of you all have the potential to do well and go far. You all are still young and still have a long way to go. But all i hope is that the few of you all will continue to stay in SC debate. Don't give up easily because of a setback, but strive even harder. hope to see you all after my exams!

To Jon and Shirin: Thank you for being there to always constantly shower us with your guidance, nagging and encouragements. You all taught us so much and i really hope you all will rmr "SCGS Debating Society," the crazy bunch of girls who never fail to drive you all nuts.
